As part of Castleford Roman Festival, enjoy a fun, fast-paced theatre show suitable for all the family!
A Day in Lagentium
Wake up! It’s time to find out how the Romans actually lived in Lagentium.
What did they eat? What did they wear? How did they go to the toilet?
Could you live like a Roman? Only one way to find out as we turn back the clock in Castleford!
Exploring a day in the life of soldiers and civilians in the Fort at Castleford this fast paced, funny and family friendly show dives headfirst into life as a Roman, from breakfast to barracks, from the great to the gross.
Find out why Castleford was important to the Romans in Britain, not just as a fort, but as an important trade and communication centre as well as making artifacts that were exported to the whole of the Roman Empire.
Take part in Roman military manoeuvres as we try to defeat the barbaric Brigantes in the name of the Emperor.
Featuring interactive games where contestants get to experience the grossest bits of Roman life, lots of silliness and a few educational facts hidden beneath the surface this family show mixes street theatre and history to bring the past to life for a whole new generation.
