Dance, sing and enjoy the music of top folk band Roisin Ban as they bring their distinctive brand of folk music to Queen’s Mill. The band (Usually a trio) consists of Chris Dyson on fiddle, octave mandola, mandolin and vocals, Paddy Heffron on melodeon, vocals and sean nos dancing and Gordon Tyrrall on flute, guitar and vocals.


We play a range of traditional Irish tunes and songs as well as some tunes from Scotland, Brittany and a number of songs from the British Isles and beyond. The band’s permanent soundman/PA person, Barry Evans is also an experienced caller at ceilis. The band also also play for set dancing and are regular fixtures for the Whitby Folk Week set dance (Whitby Hoolie).


All profits are in aid of Castleford Heritage Trust. Tickets are £8 in advance and £10 on the door.
