Drop in to admire the church with a church at All Saints Church, Pontefract. Tower Tours (on demand) up the Double Helix Staircase, and view bell ringing chamber.

The Double Helix Staircase, is of only two in England and three in the world, we will go up one set of stairs beginning inside the church, view the bell ringing chamber, and finally emerge outside the building having descended the second staircase. Maximum of 12 able-bodied visitors per 30 minute tour.

A virtual walk up the tower may also be shown on screen in the church.

Explore the ancient church that was part of the sieges of Pontefract Castle. For some hundreds of years it was left derelict until various stages of rebuilding and repair dating from the 19th century into the 20th century, resulting in the wonderful ‘Church inside a church’.

See cannon-balls and musket shot, and the beautiful Altar Triptych and matching Stations of the Cross. There will be an organ demonstration.

Light refreshments will be available during the day.
