About

Create paper and wire bird sculptures inspired by Andy Holden’s sculpture The Auguries (Last Call).

A soundscape inspired by Andy Holden’s work is also being created with messages from people form Wakefield District Sight Aid (a local charity supporting people living with sight loss), mixed with birdsong which will be available to listen to on Wednesday 9 August at Wakefield Museum and at the finale event in the city centre on Saturday 16 September.

About the Wakefield Sculpture Trail

The Wakefield Sculpture Trail is an exciting series of sculptures across the city centre. The sculptures have been created by artists Annie Morris, Andy Holden, Halima Cassell, Jason Wilsher-Mills and Ro Robertson and are here for everyone to enjoy.

Over the summer, explore the sculptures and take part in creative activities with a celebration event on Saturday 16 September to welcome the sculptures to their new home of Wakefield.

All events are FREE and suitable for all ages and abilities.
