New to birdwatching? If you're a still little bit baffled by binoculars or confused by calls, join our expert guide Andy for this leisurely walk around Fairburn Ings. Learn more about the different species found on site, get some top tips on wildlife watching, and learn to identify many of our resident birds by sight and sound.
Pre-booking is essential. Ticket price includes parking on site, binocular hire if required, and a hot drink and flapjack/cake after the walk.
Please note this event is not suitable for dogs. The walk will last for approximately 2-2.5 hours, so comfortable clothing and footwear is advised.
We're excited to welcome you to our events again, but in order to ensure the safety of our visitors, staff and volunteers we’ll ask all attendees to observe hygiene procedures and social distancing on site. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, are self-isolating, or you are affected by other coronavirus related restrictions, please do not attend and contact us instead. All events are subject to Government guidelines and may be cancelled, and refunds issued, if lockdown restrictions change.
We are helping the NHS Test and Trace programmes in each of the UK countries. At the time of booking, we will ask for a name and contact details of all event attendees. All personal data will be held securely and confidentially by us. We will only release the data to the NHS if absolutely necessary and will securely destroy it after 21 days as required.
