Bodys presents alternative / indie trio ¡Ay Carmela! and Leeds indie guitar pop band Buen Chico for their latest gig at The Establishment Wakefield.
9:15pm | Buen Chico
Buen Chico are the longest running and probably greatest indie guitar pop band from Leeds band ever. The band started in the early 2000s among the explosion of guitar bands, but as they continue to create beautifully crafted songs with exceptional lyrics they grow with every listen and every year. Sounds like the greatest version of every band you could ever think of, specifically The Strokes with a little of Jason Molina to break your heart.

8:30pm | ¡Ay Carmela!
¡Ay Carmela! are a Bristol-based alternative / indie trio, drawing on influences like Nilüfer Yanya, PJ Harvey, and Braids. Their new album, Tokens, is being released in November 2023. The album combines guitars and vocals rooted in 90s alt rock and punk, with traces of jazz and electronic music in the bass and drums.
Previously based in London and with a different lineup, they released their first album, Working Weeks, in 2016.
