Join Yorkshire Sculpture Park‘s Heritage volunteers and Head of Estates on a guided tour of the Bridges of Bretton. Explore their design, function, and place in Yorkshire Sculpture Park’s heritage and ongoing care.


Visit several bridges within the historic park and gardens that made up the Bretton Estate which is now home to Yorkshire Sculpture Park with YSP’s knowledgable Head of Estates, Mark Chesman, and heritage volunteers. Learn more about how the bridges were constructed in the 1700s, the activities which took place on the lakes and how YSP cares for these historic landmarks.


The walking tour will start at Yorkshire Sculpture Park’s visitor centre information desk and will take approximately 2 hours, covering a distance of approximately 5km.There is limited access for mobility scooters due to terrain. Paths are mostly established, with some areas of uneven and rough ground. Please wear suitable footwear and dress for the weather. Dogs are not permitted on this tour.


Full day access to YSP is included in all tickets.
