Expect a whole new programme of chef demos curated by Yorkshire Food Guide. The chef demo tent will be situated in the Bullring in Wakefield City Centre. Learn from the best – A programme of chef demos will run from 11am to 3pm from Friday to Sunday and will welcome the ‘spicy flexitarian’ and MasterChef finalist Chef Rü and Great British Bake Off 2021 finalist Crystelle Pereira.
Other chefs include Karen Wright (Great British Bake Off), Bobby Geetha (Great British Menu) and Heather (Farmer Copley’s) while local restaurants Iris and TET will also showcase their best rhubarb inspired recipes.
Booking is not required for the chef demos and they will run every hour on the hour from 11am until 3pm.
We will be welcoming British Sign Language Interpreters to the Cookery Demo Area after the success of this facility last year. Please see the BSL Interpreter schedule below.

Chef Rü – MasterChef finalist
West Yorkshire’s Radha Kaushal-Bolland AKA Chef Rü love for all things food took her through to the finals of BBC’s MasterChef in 2021. Radha then made the leap into the world as a private chef. Specialising in vegetarian Indian fine dining. Chef Ru has also furthered her experience with collaborations with some of Yorkshire’s very best Michelin recommended Restaurants and Hotels.
Bobby Geetha – Great British Menu & MasterChef the Professionals
Indian Chef Bobby Geetha has decades of experience in high end 5-star luxury hotel kitchens. Bobby is the author of five cook books on Fine Dining Indian cuisine series and the founder of Finediningindian.com website on next generation Indian cuisine. He is the highly rated finalist in BBC’s Master Chef UK Professionals, Bobby also represented the Northeast & Yorkshire with his appearance on BBC’s Great British Menu in 2021. Bobby is the chef-owner of Leeds foodie favourite, Fleur, restaurant and bar.
Crystelle Pereira – Great British Bake Off 2021 finalist
Crystelle is a baker who brings her wonderfully diverse heritage – born in northwest London to Kenyan born, Portuguese-Goan parents – to the flavours in her baking. She began baking seriously only three years ago and loves fusing spices from the places she’s visited into her bakes – a fougasse infused with turmeric, curry powder and spring onion is a firm favourite.
