For a fun festive day out with the family, head over to the beautiful Friarwood Valley Gardens, in Pontefract town centre.
Follow a self-led Christmas trail around the gardens, visit Santa is in his grotto, enjoy children’s rides, donkey rides and some delicious hot food and drink to keep you warm!
As the day draws darker, don’t forget to take a short walk into Pontefract’s historic marketplace to see the colourful Christmas lights.
