About

Spend a Saturday morning creating beautiful prints using collograph printmaking techniques at The Art House.

Collograph is a printmaking technique which creates interesting shapes, patterns and textures onto paper using a range of materials and textured tapes.

On this workshop you’ll make a collograph plate and create an edition of prints onto A4 paper using relief printing processes. This is a great introduction to printmaking techniques and you’ll use etching presses in a professional print studio.

Who is the workshop for?

This session is aimed at beginners, so don’t worry if you’ve never done printmaking before! It is also suitable if you have some previous experience but would like to try a new technique and gain some new inspiration.

Do I need to bring anything?

All equipment and tools will be provided for you including papers, plates, inks and materials to explore the process. Feel free to bring along sketchbooks, images or books for inspiration if you have any. We recommend wearing old clothes in case you get a bit inky! Sensible footwear should be worn in the print studio (no sandals, or high heels!).
