About
Calling all future chemists!
Did you know that there are so many amazing colours that can be created from plants?
Join the Pontefract Castle team for a series of workshops to investigate natural dyes, inks and stains. Be inspired by the medieval garden and the plants that were grown there in the past. Try a new technique in every session!
This STEM workshop is funded by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
27 October: In this session, you’ll learn about natural colours used in food and have a go at decorating biscuits using naturally coloured icing sugar.
*At 10am there is a relaxed SEND session of this workshop.
SEND groups are always welcome at all sessions, but the team are also running these SEND sessions for visitors who benefit from a more relaxed atmosphere.
For ages 5+, booking required.
