About
Cyanotypes are stunning cyan-blue prints that make for the perfect home decorations or gifts to loved ones.
Join local artist and printmaker Kirstie Williams on this one-day workshop at The Art House, where you will explore this unique photographic printing process and create your own cyan-blue prints onto paper and textiles.
Using a variety of found objects and foliage you will come away with at least ten individual cyanotype prints onto A5 paper and textile samples.
Who is the workshop for?
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and anyone interested in simple photographic printing techniques. Those with previous experience of printmaking may wish to use the day to explore a new technique and gain tutor advice and guidance.
Do I need to bring anything?
All materials and equipment will be provided. If you have any thin objects such as lace, threads, beads, leaves, buttons etc then feel free to bring them along to experiment with. Please wear old clothes in case you get mucky and shoes with covered toes in the print studio.
