About
Get cosy at the crochet, crafts and coffee drop in at The Art House!
The Art House has always embedded a culture of inclusion and welcome throughout the venue. They offer friendship, and integration for all individuals.
Since 2017, they have been a Studio of Sanctuary, that uses art, culture and creative processes to bring all people together, including asylum seekers and refugees, with the wider Wakefield population to work creatively and learn about each other.
Every last Saturday of the month between 11:00–13:00 you are invited to join a free, relaxed, drop-in for everyone! Come along to learn, share and pass on traditional skills such as crochet, knitting and macramé.
Beginners and people curious about skill sharing are all welcome.
This is a reoccurring event, every last Saturday of the month at The Art House between 11:00–13:00.
Note: June’s event will take place during refugee week on Saturday 22nd June.
