Come together for a day out at Yorkshire Sculpture Park on 15 July from 11am to experience moments of shared joy, marking the opening of Curiosity & Wonder.


Activities include musical performances, poetry readings, painting and drawing workshops, and guided meditation.


YSP entry ticket required to enjoy Curiosity & Wonder events and activities (except evening dinner at The Weston). Free entry for 25s and under.


Overview


Start the day with relaxing meditation and breathing techniques, led by Rangoli Radio and Pyramid Spiritual Societies.


Artist Jo Blaker guides a Family Life Drawing session in the Underground Gallery for young families 11am – 4pm.


Join Natasha Joseph from arts organisation We Belong Here to create Wonderwall.


Japanese performance artist ICHI takes the idea of the ‘one man band’ to new limits, with his handmade instrument inventions creating a unique and joyful listening experience.


Young people aged 4–10 years old will love illustrator and poet Matthew Hodson’s readings from his collection of nonsense poems Forwards Always.


In the magical space that is James Turrell’s Deer Shelter SkyspaceDipak Mistry and Razwan Ul-Haq will share a selection of Qawwali and Sufi music, alongside live Guerilla Calligraphy.


For 5–10 year olds and their grown ups, Matthew Hodson will lead a playful poetry workshop.
