About
Embark on a guided walk and hear about how farming in Darrington has changed over the last 70 years.
Hear from farmers Alastair Wilson and Richard Hirst how farm work has changed, from being very labour intensive with many small farms in the village and relatively small surrounding fields, to the landscape and village layout seen today. Currently the village has larger farms, needing less staff as mechanisation, efficiency and size of farm equipment has changed.
As it is a farm walk, appropriate sturdy footwear and clothing is advisable.
