This free walk around the National Coal Mining Museum and talk explores the mining industry’s close relationships with nature and trees. Learn about how different trees were used within the industry for their unique properties. Discover Pit Wood and how we can all play our part in saving trees, plus how in turn nature can enhance our own wellbeing.
This guided walk around Pit Wood will be led by Woodland Trust speaker, Roger Parkinson.
Families welcome, suitable for ages 7+.
