Easter Funnies is the first of a new regular comedy night at stylish new bar, No. 43, on Northgate in Wakefield city centre.

Kicking off with award-winning comic Tony Burgess (as seen on BBC TV’s Ideal); rising star Ishi Khan; and top quality new acts Maxine Wade and Danny Gray. Your MC is Iain Woodrow (as seen at Jockularity, Wakefield‘s longest-running comedy night).

Tony Burgess

Tony Burgess is an award winning stand-up comedian, writer and actor based in Manchester. With his instantly engaging stage persona, Tony Burgess weaves fantastic gags into sometimes surreal stories about northern family life, which for over 25 years has proved a hit with the crowds on the UK comedy circuit.

Ishi Khan

Funny Women’s best show award nominee, Ishi Khan has been a stand up comedian for 12 years, regularly performing on the comedy circuit. She’s produced and toured several solo shows, usually in response to current affairs through themes of unity, freedom and equality.
