Be inspired by Wakefield Museums & Castles’ amazing East Asian objects, then create your own kokedama!
Discover the beauty of East Asian traditions and learn the art of kokedama. A kokedama is a living sculpture made from a ball of soil, wrapped in moss, where ornamental plants grow.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll:
-Explore the cultural inspiration behind kokedama
-Learn step-by-step how to craft your own moss-covered plant sphere
-Take home a beautiful, living piece of art.
This workshop will take place in the Learning Zone, inside Wakefield Library (upper ground floor of Wakefield One).
