Getting the Coal In, An Exhibition of Works by Harry Malkin, is a new exhibition at Castleford’s Queen’s Mill.


Over the years, Harry has produced an eclectic mix of drawings, paintings, and sculpture based on his lifetime involvement with coal. From his early days of helping to get the home coal in to the later days of making memorials to the miners of closed mines and anything in between and after.


Please note, the exhibition opening times are as follows:



  • Monday: 10:00 – 14:00

  • Tuesday: 10:00 – 14:00

  • Wednesday: 10:00 – 14:00

  • Friday: 10:00 – 14:00

  • Weekends by appointment
