Formed in 1917 in South Yorkshire, Grimethorpe Colliery Band is one of the UK’s most celebrated brass ensembles, known internationally for its rich heritage and exceptional musicianship. The band rose to global prominence following its appearance in the acclaimed film Brassed Off, and continues to perform at major events including the BBC Proms and the Olympic Games.
This special concert offers audiences the chance to experience their powerful and expressive sound live within the stunning surroundings of Wakefield Cathedral.
