About
The St Giles with St Mary’s Pantomime Society in Pontefract has been making people laugh for 75 years. Founded in 1949, the society has enchanted generations of Pomfretians with time-honoured stories, told by larger-than-life characters in gorgeous costumes. Over the years they have built a remarkable history, archive and costume collection.
Join Jo Sykes, long-time member, performer and producer for the society, as she talks about “all things pantomime”. Find out more about the history of the society and see mementoes and costume items in this engaging talk. After the talk there will be a chance to ask more questions, and explore the Oh Yes It Is Exhibition on display in Pontefract Museum.
Tickets are free, booking is required due to limited space.
