Light Up Trail
Get ready to celebrate the variety of heritage, culture and arts that can be discovered across the Wakefield region with Illuminos’ The Timekeepers - a unique piece giving visitors an immersive experience with projection mapping.
Prepare to be in awe of The Ice is Melting at the Pøules II by Båll & Brand. This light projection, made by light shining through rotating and enclosed glass discs, highlights the ongoing issue of global warming. An organic ever changing light projection through actual meltwater from the ice sheet in Greenland, Crude Oil from Texas and extract of endangered Blue Cornflour.
Experience analogue art with Analogue Lights, a vibrant projection piece by Fényszóró Visual who are strongly influenced by contemporary street art, steam punk and sci-fi.
Drawing on Wakefield’s coal mining heritage, Sentinel by Studio Vertigo is a large scale artwork with sweeping curves inspired by the wings of a canary.
Expect the above (and more!) in this spectacular trail of light.
