This workshop is part of Lakeside Creative Arts Centre’s ‘Tyndale 500’ celebration weekend, commemorating the 500th anniversary of William Tyndale’s translation of the New Testament. Tyndale’s translation made the Bible accessible to ordinary people. The printing press was pivotal to his work, enabling the widespread sharing of the text and helping to revolutionise both the Church and society.
This workshop gives you the opportunity to explore the power of printmaking to communicate to others what matters to you. You will learn a range of lino-printing techniques, carve a plate, ink and press your own image, reflecting on the messages you would like to share with your friends, community and the wider world today.
Come along and make your mark. No prior experience is required, just a willingness to have a go and have fun. All materials and refreshments will be provided.
PLEASE NOTE: sharp tools will be used during this workshop, which is suitable for 18+.

The session will be facilitated by Neil Mayne. Neil is a Yorkshire based printmaker who explores the power of printmaking as a catalyst for conversation and building community.
