Pioneers of British punk and new wave, the Stranglers bring their era-defining anthems and cult classics to Wakefield in August 2026 as part of Live at Tileyard North; a new series of outdoor concerts taking place in the city.
Scoring some 23 UK top 40 singles and 17 UK top 40 albums to date in a career spanning five decades, the Stranglers are the longest-surviving and most “continuously successful” band to have originated in the UK punk scene of the mid to late 1970s.
Bringing their era-defining anthems and cult classics like Golden Brown, Peaches and No More Heroes to Tileyard North, The Stranglers will be joined by special guests Buzzcocks, FEET and Adore.
Live at Tileyard North brings Wakefield’s first outdoor concert series to life with two weeks of incredible outdoor live music experiences in the courtyard of the impressive Tileyard North development. Futuresound will be sharing more details on the Live at Tileyard North programme soon.
