The Vaccines, Live at Tileyard North’s first announced headliner, will be performing their critically acclaimed 2011 debut album What Did You Expect From the Vaccines? in full to celebrate 15 years since its release as well as a curated selection of hits and fan favourites from across their subsequent five full-length records.
From Zane Lowe declaring their initial 2010 demo of If You Wanna, eventually re-recorded and released as the third single from What Did You Expect…, as “the hottest record in the world” to sharing stages around the world with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Arcade Fire, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Rolling Stones; the Vaccines’ ascent has been nothing short of meteoric. The newly bolstered quartet’s sixth record, 2024’s Pick-Up Full of Pink Carnations, finds the band at their most refined and reflective; contemplating their original West Coast influences and reinterpreting them through a career that has seen the Vaccines redefine British indie rock.
Live at Tileyard North brings Wakefield’s first outdoor concert series to life with two weeks of incredible outdoor live music experiences in the courtyard of the impressive Tileyard North development. Futuresound will be sharing more details on the Live at Tileyard North programme soon.
