About
Join artist Naomi Aderonke Crompton to learn how to make and decorate your own ceramic Tyg at The Art House!
What is a Tyg?
Well a Tyg is a Medieval style sharing mug with multiple handles for each person.
Wakefield was one of the biggest producers of this style of pottery up until the 17th Century.
Learn more about this style of pottery and make your own piece of local history this September.
This workshop is supported with a Culture Grant by Wakefield Council as part of Our Year – Wakefield District 2024
Spaces limited to 10 people per session.
