The classic chord-less quartet led by New Zealand drummer Mark Lockett is a masterclass in dynamic, unrestrained jazz, where rhythm and melody take centre stage. Lockett, known for his precision, inventiveness, and deep swing, anchors the group with his impeccable drumming, allowing the ensemble to explore new sonic territories. Joining him is fellow Kiwi and saxophonist Roger Manins, whose playing has been described as “incredible” by Cadence Magazine—a fitting description for an artist whose raw power and emotive phrasing light up every performance.
