Enjoy a day out with a difference on a family-friendly Museum Store Tour! Go behind the scenes and discover some of the wonders of Wakefield Museums and Castles Collections. This tour is for everyone aged 8 and above.

Meet experts in the collections team and delve into a treasure trove of objects from Wakefield’s past. Find out about the jobs the brilliant team do to keep these old objects safe.

You’ll get to see some of the most special objects in the collection. Be amazed by what people wore, the things they played with and the jobs they did in the past. See the brilliant things local people have made in our region over hundreds of years.

These tours are for ages 8+. Pre-booking is required.

Information about how to reach the Museum Store will be shared with ticket holders around two weeks before the event date. The Museum Store can be reached by public transport (bus) and parking is available.
