Join professional photographer John Arnison at the National Coal Mining Museum for a night photography workshop where you’ll master the art of long exposure and slow shutter speed techniques. Under his expert guidance, you’ll learn to creatively paint a picturesque landscape with light, capturing unique and striking images in the process.
Suitable for ages 16+
What you’ll need:
A camera with a shutter, that can be kept open for around a minute, and a telephoto lens (135 or 200 mm). It would also be useful to bring a tripod. The workshop will take place outdoors, so please dress for the weather.
About John Arnison:
John Arnison is an internationally-renowned photographer, who specialises in night-time waterfalls and portraiture. His prints have been exhibited in the National Portrait Gallery and the V&A Museum, among others.
