Ossett Town Hall History Tours

Come and explore Ossett Town Hall as part of Heritage Open Days. First opened in 1908, the impressive grade 2 listed building is a real historical gem.

Find out more about the stories behind this beautiful building, which was funded by public subscription from the people of Ossett, with members of Ossett Civic Society.

The tours will include the former council chamber, public hall and old court room, which housed the borough court until 1974. Take in the historic tiles, decorative stained glass and hear some of the stories behind the civic portraits hanging on the walls.

Tours will run at 11am and 1pm and will start at the main entrance to the Town Hall from Ossett Market Place.
