Polestar Planetarium presents a wonderful hour of fully immersive entertainment as you journey to moons and planets within the planetarium dome. The fully immersive, state of the art imagery takes you beyond our planet and transports you to the far reaches of the solar system. Experience a Saturn V rocket launch, fly by the seat of your pants through the crevasses of icy moons, and take a tour of the constellations setting the scene for your enjoyment of the night skies above your own home.
Show times:
- 10am – 11am
- 11:20am – 12:20pm
- 12:40am – 1:40pm
- 2am – 3pm
We have a maximum of 50 places per show with floor seating and a limited numbers of chairs (8) will be available for those who may have mobility difficulties.
The dome has a forced air system (air is pumped in and extracted) and is much better ventilated than most public buildings.
We regret that shows are only suitable for those aged 5 and above as during sessions the dome is dimly lit, sound carries easily and individuals leaving during the show tend to detract from the audience’s experience.
Car parking is available outside the hall but please arrive and depart promptly to allow parking spaces for the following show. The hall has no waiting area so if a show is in progress please wait in your vehicle until the hall door is opened. We regret that it is not possible to admit late arrivals as this detracts from the audience’s experience. However, if there is availability it may be possible to join the next session.
Please note that payments are non refundable.
There will be floor seating and a maximum of 8 chairs available for those with mobility issues and we ask that anyone requiring a chair gets in touch with us to be allocated one.
