Portobello Gala is for everyone in Wakefield to gather, take part in fun and creative activities. There will be live entertainment with African Drummers, Wakeylele Band, The Merrie City Singalong Singers and an Open Mic.
The Open Mic will take place from 1.30pm to 3pm so if you want to entertain your community come along. Musicians, spoken word artists, comedians – all are welcome!
There’ll be face painters, a balloon artist, henna artist, a magician and exotic animals as well as a Climbing Wall.
The theme is Loving Our Community and Neighbours – bring a friend or neighbour and join the Portobello community for a fun day out!
Portobello Gala is funded by Wakefield Council Culture Grants, Wakefield District Housing, Portobello Community Forum and Inspiring Community.
