About Red Grit:
Red Grit is an actor training programme created by Rod Dixon, Artistic Director of Red Ladder Theatre Company, based in Leeds. The popular actor training course is free of charge and open to anyone who wants to explore their potential as an actor. Participants range from professional actors to total beginners with one thing in common – a curiosity for creating theatre.
Drawing on over 50 years of making ground-breaking theatre at Red Ladder the course covers everything from character development to relationships, to working as an ensemble. The programme also covers voice and movement training.
Sessions will run on Thursday evenings for 6 weeks from 12th January 2023 at Queen’s Mill in Castleford.
