Experience the vibrant rhythms of Congo with an Afro-Fusion dance class led by Naomi Kenga, followed by live music from Robert Maseko and The Congo Beat.
Join Naomi for a high-energy Afro-Fusion dance class with strong Ndombolo influences. Open to all abilities, this welcoming and inclusive tater session combines Afrobeats, Congolese dance and hip-hop styles through expressive movement and powerful rhythms.
Robert Maseko is a Congolese-British musician, drummer, singer-songwriter, and producer based in the UK.
Through his project The Congo Beat, he blends Congolese soukous and rumba with Afro-fusion, reggae, jazz, and modern global rhythms. The result is a vibrant, dance-driven sound that remains rooted in tradition while delivering a fresh, contemporary energy.
Known for expressive vocals, rich guitar lines, and powerful rhythmic arrangements, The Congo Beat creates music filled with groove, storytelling, and emotion, exploring themes of love, identity, and lived experience.
