Red Ladder Theatre Company is touring archipelago art collective’s raucous show ‘Santa Must Die!’ across Wakefield for an alternative musical start to the festive season.
The show features characters Nadia and Abed, aka the North’s greatest band ‘Santa Must Die!’, who are playing their local for one night only. But it’s Christmas Eve… and Santa is a bad boss.
Unending queues of entitled customers, minimum wage, no time off, zero hour contracts. It’s about time the elves staged a riot.
This is a different kind of Christmas story about it being really sh*t when Xmas is all work and no play, about finding joy in unexpected places, and fighting against that which is meant to keep you down.
This show is at the The Grove Hall in South Kirkby. Scroll down for showings at Queen’s Mill Castleford and The Cluntergate Centre in Horbury.
Please note this show is suitable for ages 14+.
