See the unveiling of the Creativity of the City mural at this launch event!


STRATA: Creativity of the City is a mural that celebrates the iconic skyline in Wakefield, built in multimedia layers of mosaic, paint and fabric, made by and for the people of Wakefield district.


Over 250 participated in workshops ranging from ages 5 to 83 years old, including people from:


ArtWalk Wakefield, Cluntergate Centre art group, Crigglestone Village Institute art group, Mindful Movers, Sandal VA Community Primary School, Second Chance Headway Centre, Wakefield and District Society for Deaf People, Wakey Wheeled Cats, Jen’s Mosaic Group.


Designed and facilitated by Jen Watson and assisted by Danielle Ferreira.


STRATA: Creativity of the City is supported by a Culture Grant from Wakefield Council as part of Our Year, a year-long project of creative activities across the Wakefield District
