About
Discover how communities pulled together to support each other in the Miners’ Strike. Enjoy sunshine at the beach, explore the great outdoors, and much more in a fun-filled programme of events throughout the summer holidays at the National Coal Mining Museum.
From Saturday 20 July – Sunday 1 September, there will be a £5 charge per car (payable via cash or card) for the museum’s Summer offer which includes The Beach, car parking and unlimited rides on the much-loved Paddy Train (usually £2.50 per person).
Blue Badge holders can park for free, but if they would like to ride our Paddy Train, the £5 per car charge will be payable.
If due to adverse weather conditions the train is unable to run, then there will be no charge. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
