Summer of Play

Enjoy the long summer days with an outdoor adventure at Nostell. Join in with our Summer of Play with games and activities, including badminton, hoopla and football. You’ll find the Active Play Stations on the grass in front of the house Wednesday – Sunday between 26 July and 3 September.

During the summer, you can also get creative with craft activities running in the gardens every Thursday and Friday of the holidays between 11am and 3pm. See Nostell website to book on to these sessions. Tickets £3 per child.

There’s also lots of room to roam and play in the parkland with den building in Joiner’s Wood, geocaching, kite flying, wildlife spotting, counting butterflies and exploring the cycle trails through the ancient woodland.

Bring your bike along and join in with the Wakefield District Cycle Forum free skills course and maintenance class, every Wednesday during the holidays between 11am and 3pm.
