In Hindu mythology, Surya is the sun god, a powerful and important deity with numerous stories associated with him. He is often depicted in a chariot drawn by seven horses, symbolizing the seven colours of light and the seven days of the week. Surya is known for his dazzling brilliance and influence over the world, particularly in matters of light, heat, and the seasons
This immersive performance will explore the facets of the sun using a combination of voice and harp. Indian ragas will blend with sounds of plucked strings and we will together create a world of sound that will capture the brilliance of sun rays through dawn to dusk.
Doors: 4:30PM
Performance Starts: 5:45PM
During the performance, attendees are encouraged to lie on the floor and let the sound wash over them. Please bring a yoga mat and/or cushion with you. Seating will also be available for those who prefer.
There will be 2 performances: the 5pm performance will be family friendly, whilst the 7.30pm performance is for ages 14+ – under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
