About

This talk from the Pontefract Civic Society will deal the history of this isolated Normanton, Castleford and Pontefract tramway system that came into existence at the close of the 19th Century and opened in 1906.

Though lasting for only 19 years, it played its part in local public transport during the first two decades of the 20th Century. The talk will incorporate a description of the line and will be illustrated by photograph.

Light refreshments will be served afterwards, and donations are welcome.
