The Community Costume Emporium Sustainability Workshops Taster Session!

Join Empath Action CIC at their HQ on the middle floor of The Ridings Shopping Centre to learn the principles of reusing and repurposing as we make Valentine’s and rhubarb themed keepsakes in this taster session for our easy-to-follow Community Costume Emporium Sustainability workshops.

In the course of these workshops we will learn how to use fun sewing and artistic techniques to update or even repair favourite pieces of clothing that are past their best, create trinkets and keepsakes from so-called scrap materials, and form a crafting community around the exciting, eco-friendly practice of reusing materials that might otherwise be thrown away.

This workshop series is open to everyone, from beginners who would just like to know how to sew on a button on their favourite jeans, through to experienced crafters wanting to expand their skills!
