About
The Great British Film Orchestra presents The Music of James Bond live in concert at Wakefield Cathedral.
Set within the magnificent surroundings of the cathedral, this concert will showcase some of the most iconic music ever written for film. Featuring a chamber orchestra and outstanding vocalists, the programme brings together unforgettable themes and songs from across six decades of the Bond franchise.
Audiences can expect to hear music made famous by legendary performers including Dame Shirley Bassey, whose powerful renditions of Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever and Moonraker defined the classic Bond sound, alongside more recent favourites such as Adele’s Oscar-winning Skyfall, Sam Smith’s Writing’s On the Wall, and Billie Eilish’s No Time To Die.
With sweeping orchestration, dramatic brass and evocative vocals, the concert captures the glamour, excitement and atmosphere that have made the Bond soundtracks a defining part of cinematic history.
