About
Discover and create colourful paints and pigments in a workshop that combines science, history and art.
Today Pontefract Castle is a ruin of plain stone walls, but it would once have been filled with colour and design. In this hands-on workshop discover the science behind colour and have a go at making your own paint pigment from natural stone and plants. Use your paint to create a meaningful and unique piece of art!
This workshop is part of Heritage Open Days.
