About
Design and collage your own Wakefield Travel Poster with designer and printmaker Ellie Way.
Participants will explore an analogue approach to designing artwork, using collage and mark making to create a multi-coloured, A3 poster inspired by the sights and scenes in Wakefield. This is a playful, hands-on approach to designing which offers exciting and interesting results without the use of a computer.
All materials and equipment will be provided for this workshop. Photographs of Wakefield and examples of Ellie’s Travel Posters will be provided for inspiration, but participants are encouraged to bring any personal photographs of the area to make their posters more personal to them.
At the end of the workshop, participants have the option to leave their Wakefield Travel Poster with Ellie so they can be digitised and printed as a poster. Participants can then collect their original hand-made Wakefield Travel Poster and their digitised poster from Ellie at her studio in Wakefield at a later date.
This workshop is aimed at teens and adults and would not be suitable for young children.
