Enjoy a guided walk through Clarence and Holmfield Parks explaining the development of the two parks and their importance in the history of Wakefield.
As the city of Wakefield developed in the late 1800s and early 1900s there was a need for a public park in the city and this walk will provide the background to the opening of the first two of the three parks that make up Wakefield Park.
Meet at the car park at the Thornes Park Stadium, Horbury Road, Wakefield, WF2 8TY.
