Book now

Ffion will introduce you to the properties of natural ingredients and the effects they create and guide you in extracting colour by pressing flowers, drawing with petals and staining with berries. You will manipulate materials with natural modifiers, creating a range of colours and textures, and use ingredients such as lemons as natural bleach to create layers and narrative to your fabric. You will also sample immersion dyeing.

Ffion will introduce the process of preparing fabric for dyeing using mordants. You will leave the workshop having experimented with several techniques to create a swatch book of multiple sized samples created with natural fabrics including silk and cotton.
