Wakefield LitFest shall host a hybrid panel event on the 27th of October at 17:30-18:45, taking place at Wakefield Library, discussing Writing in Yorkshire and the North. Panellists will include writers, publishers, and journalists from the sphere of the North’s literary industry to discuss the changing landscape of Northern writing and its future.


Bluemoose Books are a Hebden Bridge based publisher that was started in 2006 by Kevin and Hetha Duffy. Recently, they’ve been featured on BBC 2’s Bewteen the Covers with Sharon Duggal’s Should We Fall Apart and their book Leonard and Hungry Paul by Rónán Hession was picked as Dublin’s book of 2021
