About
Prepare for a spellbinding night as award-winning jazz vocalist Zoë Gilby takes the stage at Wakefield Jazz. Voted Jazz Vocalist of the Year at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards, Zoë brings her latest project “Aurora”—an inspired reimagining of Tom Harrell’s instrumentals with her own poetic lyrics.
With long-time collaborator and husband Andy Champion on double bass, the virtuosic Mark Williams on guitar, and rising talent John Bradford on drums, this quartet delivers a rich, cinematic sound. From jazz standards to bold interpretations of Kate Bush and Pink Floyd, expect a stunning fusion of lyrical storytelling and instrumental finesse.
