These props help being stories to life in a magical way. Make your own razzle dazzle pantomime treasure chest full of deceptively shiny jewellery and treasures!
After your workshop, take a look at accompanying exhibition, Oh Yes It Is! 75 years of the St Giles with St Mary’s Pantomime Society.

February Half Term at the National Coal Mining Museum

February Half TermΒ at the National Coal Mining Museum runs for the whole of half term, from 15–23 February.

lamb feeding experience

Lamb Feeding at Horncastle Farm

Join Horncastle Farm for a unique and memorable lamb feeding experience, where you can bottle feed some adorable lambs. Visit the lambing shed where you’ll prepare the bottles before meeting your chosen lamb for feeding. The experience lasts around 60 minutes and once you finish you’ll even get a certificate to commemorate the occasion! Want to meet more animals? There’ll also be the opportunity to meet and feed goats, chickens, cows and pigs (food can be purchased at an additional cost).

Entertainment & Workshops @ RhubarbFest

TheΒ Rhubarb Festival is the place to be for a full weekend of family fun with activities, street entertainment and workshops! Expect street entertainment from the Wakefield Morris Dancers and keep a look out for Ruby Rhubarb, the Rhubarb Fairy and Ruby & Barb who will be roaming the streets of Wakefield to keep you entertained. There will also be an array of free children activities. Head to Wakefield Exchange for free family craft workshops and face-painting, go to The Art House to try your hand at screen-printing, see the Walkersaurus Rex prowl the streets at Trinity Walk and much more!

United by Breaks – Hip Hop Week at Castleford Market

This February half-term, Castleford Market will come alive with United by Breaks, a celebration of Hip Hop culture delivered by the incredible team at HelloHipHop. Year 5 and 6 pupils at Castleford Park Juniors and Half Acres Primary schools have been working hard and they will perform at the School Battle Championships on Saturday 15 February – the launch of the week-long celebration. Throughout the week enjoy fun activities for all the family, including graffiti and beatboxing workshops, see amazing art and explore local stalls at the market.
