Sandal Library Mural

Have you been down to Sandal Library lately? If you have, you may have noticed the wonderful new mural in their garden. As part of Our Year 2024, the Friends of Sandal Library recently received a Culture Grant to help them bring some extra colour to their outdoor space, and we are sure you will agree, it looks fantastic.

The artwork was created by local artist Beth Morgan, who worked with the local community in two workshops. Participants were asked to draw the plants and animals that might inhabit a community garden, which the artist then used to design the mural. The finished work is a celebration of local nature, with creatures hiding amongst the flowers.

This mural is part of Our Year Crossings & Gateways.
